These beautiful, handmade hoops can be a tool of transformation for your mind, body, and soul. Hooping enhances mood, exercises and tones the body, improves coordination and spinal flexibility, and is simple to begin!
TYPES OF HOOPS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE
Adult Heavy-Weight Hoops: These hoops are great for beginners because they are large and "heavy". With the hoop touching the ground in front of you, a beginner’s hoop should be between belly button and chest height, depending on body size. The larger the hoop, the slower it will rotate, and the easier it will be to start with. The heaviness of these hoops (3/4" diameter, 160psi tubing) allows a beginner to better FEEL the hoop. They are generally between 37"-46" in diameter. $28
Adult Light-Weight Hoops: These hoops are good for beginners and are especially great for off-body hooping (e.g. arm hooping), lifts (e.g. the "vortex" move), for more advanced hoopers, and for personal preference. The larger the hoop, the slower it will rotate. These hoops should typically come to just below the belly button (with the hoop touching the ground in front of you), depending on skill level and preference. They are made with 1/2" diameter, 125psi tubing and are generally between 35"-41" in diameter. $22
Kids Small & Large Hoops: These hoops are a great way for kids to find their rhythm, be playful and creative, and move. These hoops should come to around chest height (with the hoop touching the ground in front of the child). They are made with light-weight 1/2" diameter, 125psi tubing. They are generally between 28"-34" in diameter. $15
All hoops are made with gaffer tape; a fabric tape that helps the hoop grip clothes and skin better to prevent the hoop from slipping to the ground.
Upon request, or when shipping a hoop, we will make your hoop collapsible (figure 8 folding style, see pictures below). Collapsible hoops are great for storing, traveling, and shipping. They are easy to fold and reshape. $5 extra per hoop. Collapsible hoops can be ordered online at our ETSY STORE.
HOW TO HOOP
To begin hooping, hold the hoop against your back, a little above your waist; breathe, smile, and be positive. Using your hand, give the hoop a starting spin around your waist in whatever direction feels natural. To keep the hoop up, shift your weight back and forth on your feet and rock your hips in that same direction (either side-to-side or front-to-back). It is more of a rocking motion than a circular motion. Everybody moves differently though so do your thang and feel it out! Be kind and patient with yourself! By sticking with it & practicing, you will improve quickly! Practice, Practice, Practice!!!

HOW TO COLLAPSE A COLLAPSIBLE HOOP
Hold the hoop in front of you with the two connector points in vertical position (straight up and down). Prop the bottom of the hoop against your thighs to create stability. Place one hand on the right side of the hoop and your other hand on the left side, then twist the hoop in opposite directions (right hand moves away from you & left hand moves toward you, or vice versa). This begins the motion to create a figure eight, with the two connector points meeting in the middle of the eight. From there you slowly fold the eight in half (bringing your hands to meet each other). To keep the hoop in this collapsed shape, pull one of the circles through the other. The hoop should hold itself in this position without any assistance, although we would recommend using something to hold it in place to avoid any mishaps. Reverse these directions to open the hoop. You will need to "reshape" the hoop after you open it. There are several videos on YouTube that show how to collapse a figure eight style hoop if you need a nice visual.
